The duties of this position include, but may not be limited to:
· Supervise one of two unit teams focused on financial reporting and cash management operations within the Grant Management Section. Prepares monthly, quarterly, annual and as-needed financial reports required by the Federal, State and local grantors, including preparation of grant draw-downs and claim reimbursements. Monitors and tracks financial data to ensure obligations and expenditures are within approved commitments and budgets.
· Reviews and approves the FMS transactions to receive, appropriate, encumber funds and process payments to sub-recipients, contractors and vendors paid via special and grant funded activities.
· Interfaces with internal and external staff, external auditors and grant monitors relative to the resolution of grant budget discrepancies, reporting issues, audit findings and other related fiscal related matters.
· Conducts training presentations and provides technical assistance to EWDD fiscal and program staff, as well as to sub-recipients, related to grant regulations, financial reporting requirements, and the governing policies and procedures.
· Assist the section manager with compliance of financial reporting requirements, review of cash balance availability and reconciliation, and prepare/collect data metrics.
